I’m Amy. I'm a wife to a man who speaks my language of sarcasm & memes; a mom to two active teen boys and a little girl who runs the roost; a lover of reality television; a chips & salsa addict; and, good ole southern girl. I have a tendency to buy too much on Amazon, I laugh until I snort, and I love a good game night.  I have been in the photography business since 2012 and have photographed hundreds of newborns and families. As a mom of three, I know how fast time flies when you have young kids and it is my passion in life to be able to capture these moments for you.

The style of photography that I am drawn to is the documentary approach because I feel as though it captures the true essence of your family.  The in between shots are my favorite. Don’t get me wrong, I do love a perfectly posed, smiling picture, but I also reallllllly love when you forget I am there and you are just… you. I want to capture the laughing, the pouting, the snuggling, and of course the smiling. I want to capture real life. When I photograph your family in your home, I want you to forget I am there and just be yourselves.  This means be barefoot.. be in comfy clothes.. have tickle fights.. whatever it is that your family does.. do that. Those are the moments I want to capture.

I know that after having a baby, my first thought was not having newborn photos taken. In fact, it wasn’t really a “thing,” when my first son was born. However, they change so much in just a short period of time. The first year seems to fly by with so many milestones to capture. I love sitting with my kiddos and flipping through albums, reminiscing how little they once were… because as corny as it sounds, they grow up so fast. Digital photos are great, but tangible photos hung in your home, or displayed in an album are treasures that can be passed down through generations. This is why I offer affordable print products in addition to digital images. Being able to capture special moments in other family's lives is so incredibly special, and I am so grateful that so many families choose to trust me with such a special time in their lives.

My portraits are timeless with a clean edit and will look great in your home today and 15 years from now.  I am very organic and natural and like to photograph your baby in simple set-ups that accentuate their details, not distract from them. I work with you to bring out your family's personality and incorporate your interests.  If my style seems to match with yours, I’d love to work with you and your family to capture your special moments.
